With the CHLORIS skirt, our aim was to create a comfortable, feminine, versatile basic piece of the highest quality.

You can move comfortably in it, enhancing your freedom. Its natural fabric emphasises strength, its lines femininity.

We were inspired by the nature of Greek mythological women figures when we designed the skirts. They are different, just like us women today. They let their inner, true feminine nature flow freely. Also, the brand name Cornides is of Greek origin, as is the name of its founder. Ancient Greek dress and culture is characterised by naturalness, simplicity and generosity, just like the Cornides brand.

Our skirt is named after Chloris, the goddess of spring and flowers. She was born a nymph and lived in the fields of Elysium. Nymphs are the embodiment of beauty, fertility and the creative and nurturing forces of nature. They are vibrant, joyful and beautiful. Zephyrus, god of the west wind, fell in love with Chloris, kidnapped her and turned her into a goddess.

We have tamed the character of the linen with simple lines. True to the name of the nymph, we have brought the colours of the flowers and the natural strength of the flax to life in a clean, pure skirt with simple lines and easy variation.

The skirt is carefully sewn, slim-fit, with a high waist. It has a zip fastening, a detachable belt to adjust the waist and a practical hidden pocket, made from premium Hungarian linen.

WHAT MAKES IT BETTER THAN FAST FASHION PRODUCTS?

-The textile is woven from Hungarian spun linen yarn.
-It was sewn with the best thread in the world, which is strong and durable.
-We have perfected the shape to make it feminine, pretty and comfortable, which is not tight when worn and is a joy to wear.
-Two large, concealed sewn pockets are made from the skirt fabric (so it won't wrinkle, stiffen, shrink, pinch and your hand fits in).
-Zip fastening at the waist, with the world's most durable Japanese zipper (YKK brand).
-Inside the waist is lined with soft cotton.
-Belt is removable, you can wear it with another belt.
-It's sewn with dense stitches so it won't unravel or fall apart.

HANDLING

Before use, we recommend rinsing and ironing the skirt according to the instructions. When choosing the size, it is worth bearing in mind that the fabric will shrink by 1% after the first wash (1 cm loss in length, 1 cm loss in width at the bottom and 0.5 cm loss at the waist). Linen is a rustic material, but it is also durable. It is tough before breaking in, but you can soften it further with a vinegar rinse after each wash.
